Moving Image Arts 2017-18 Finish Line!

mia 17-18 finish line

We are delighted that our students for this year’s Moving Image Arts AS qualification have all completed the course, sitting their final exam recently and with everyone completing their final films. An incredible amount of hard work and study have gone into everyone’s work and we’re proud of what they’ve all accomplished so far, with several already progressing on to university film courses at Napier University and Edinburgh College of Art.

We are grateful to James Gillespie’s High School for helping us run the course through a very productive collaboration.

“The Moving Image Arts qualification provides students with a unique opportunity to engage hands-on with the creative process of film-making and analysis. This experience has been some of the best preparation they could do for moving to further study and work within the industry and something we could not, at this time, provide on our own.”

Jeff Warden, Depute Head Teacher, James Gillespie’s High School

The feedback from the students has also been overwhelmingly positive:

“I feel I have improved completely on understanding. I enjoy writing and learning about cinema so much that I really want to start a blog.”

Jonathan Payne.

“The tutors were amazing and full of knowledge. Genuinely cared about what they were teaching and who.”

Alanah Walker.

“A total 100% improvement in all aspects of my work!”

Dylan-Starr Adams.

With so many of our students over the past three years progressing to university and college, Moving Image Arts is proving an invaluable qualification to have. We can’t wait to see what they all do next.
