Job Opportunity – DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT
We are looking for a Digital Communications Assistant through a Community Jobs Scotland opportunity.
The following vacancies are only open to vulnerable unemployed 16 to 29 year olds, including and who are not on the Work Programme, Community Work Placement or Work Choice.
Our principal aim is to train young people (5-25) in the art of film, from theory to storytelling skills to technical skills (production and post-production), with an emphasis on looked after young people and young people from areas of economic or social exclusion.
This is a varied role, with the need to be flexible and willing to take on a range of tasks:
1. Website Updating
To assist the Screen Education Edinburgh team by:
i. Checking web content, such as press releases and events pages on the website
ii. Carrying out basic editing of images for the website
iii. Updating the website
2. Social Media
i. Helping to keep our ocial media presence on Twitter, Facebook etc uo-to-date and engaging
ii. Assisting with social media monitoring and analysis
iii. Proof reading transcripts of audio, video and
iv. Researching new ways to raise the organisation’s digital profile
3. Digital Marketing
To help increase the effectiveness of our digital communication by:
i. Supporting the monitoring and evaluation of our digital activity, using Google analytics and other packages
ii. Assist in producing emails for digital marketing purposes and help to keep our databases up-to-date
i. Checking and responding to emails that come to our admin email
ii. Helping to set up and analyse user surveys
General Communications Assistance
To support wider communication activity across the organisation. This may include helping with exhibitions and events.
28 hours per week, 10am-5.30 (30 minute unpaid lunch break) Mon-Fri, £5.30-£7.20 depending on age.
